I Was There.
On November 4, 2016, I was on top of the bus. I was hired to photograph Theo Epstein and Jed Hoyer's families during the parade. And everywhere I looked, it was happening — not just people, but something else entirely. An endless sea of collective joy, all facing the same direction. At some point I just stopped and really looked. Took it all in. These images sat untouched on my hard drive for nine years. I've since come to understand what they are. This wasn't just about baseball. It was about a crowd that shared one heart — five million stories becoming one moment. Where were you that day?
